Does anyone know if there is any game statistic that shows where on the map a player is killed? If there is, might be a good idea to make a NoBaseRape plugin by setting certain coordinates of each map where if a player is killed within them, the killer would get a warning. A plugin of this type wouldn't be against EULA and would make the new maps a lot more fun since baseraping is a serious issue.

Edit: I guess there is...here is a link.

Now just wondering if the plugin is possible.

It can be done for bfbc2 and moh. Each kill data contains xyz coordinates for both the killer and the victim

Thats awesome, now that i think about it though, you'd have to be careful to set a coord area on 'baseraping' so you don't get people spawning in their base, and staying there killing people outside of it, since that would not allow the people being shot at to kill the people in the main base, but still doable. Does the game detect the amount of time someone is alive before they die? For this I mean to maybe create a spawn kill plugin, anyone alive less than 5-10 secs would be a spawn kill.

while this is all doable, it would require a lot of work.

Depending on the game (bfbc2, moh), depending on the game mode, depending on the map, the respawn points change.
I suppose a clever way would be to let the plugin config file define the coordinates of respawn points for each combination of game/gamemod/map

Such a plugin could track the time each player spawn and be able to compute from how long they were alive before dying.

Also on top of my head : on some game mods, spawn points changes depending on the location of enemies, or location of captured flags. How to know the actual location of spawns (and not the possible spawn location)

PRoCon has a plugin that does this. It does have it's flaws, though. You can set it so people can fire FROM a base but not INTO it. There's been a couple times where the server killed me for killing someone within a base when they were shooting at me from the base...

The good thing with B3 is the warning system. Such a plugin should give warning insteads of instakick/kill/tban

As for the spawn points, I was mainly talking about Conquest. Just making each starting base essentially off limits of firing from, and firing into using B3s warn/kick system. A separate spawn kill plugin might be nice, but sadly with many games nowadays, you need to spawn kill sometimes to stay alive. So just a base protection plugin, or something equivalent to think about.

If you want to set this type of thing up, Procon has a graphical interface to set this up, and would take a long time to code for b3. However, the only downfall is that if you set this, particularly for Heavy Metal...this would disallow use of the anti-air guns from the main bases, and on the flip side, all enemies wouldn't be allowed to shoot the gunner of the AA gun. So if someone is indeed willing to make this, there would have to be an exception of shooting from/into the base for the people on the AA, and the people killing the AA (which procon does not do (yet another amazing chance for B3 to stand out from the crowd.)
