Hello b3 community,

I've been trying to update the tk plugin from 1.2.2 (supplied when you download the windows installer for 1.2.1) to 1.2.4, the latest update for the tk plugin. I asked my host where the tk.py file was so I could delete it and upload the new one, however I could not find these files and neither could he (we then established that we can't find it because we're using the windows installer). So my question is, where is this file (tk.py) so I can overwrite it, if it does exist? Or is it built into the .exe file, so it can't be individually updated without having to update to 1.3.2 of the b3 bot (I can't get 1.3.2 to work with CoD2 1.2, so I have to stay with 1.2.1)?

B3 1.3.2 should work with cod2. Is it the 31 character guid issue? Please send me a proper piece of b3.log for me to investigate. I need a large chunk with multiple connection-cycles of different players.

What you suggest is not possible.

Follow up - we updated the bot to 1.3.2 and started it all up. The problem between 31 characters in the GUID still persists (problem with CoD2 1.2 patch). A log snipped follows:

It would then end up saying Invalid PB-ID which is correct, all the id's in here are 31 and not 32. So, there is nothing wrong with this bot. Luckily for me, 1.2.1 accepts 31 character pb-id's so I can continue to do that. Is there perhaps a way to configure the bot to accept 31 character pb-id's as 1.2.1 did or would it be a step backwards? Probably I should just update to CoD2 patch 1.3 where the PB-ID characters are fixed with 32 characters...

Okay, so this is a structural bug/issue on the v1.2 version of CoD2 with PB.

I've modified the code so it now accepts 31 character pbid's only. I've compiled a beta version of the bot. For you to test on your server. If your tests are successful I will include it in the next version of B3.

I will be testing this version soon.

This is a picture of rows 'guid' and 'pbid' in our database. I did some counting, they are all indeed 31 characters.

By this do you mean that it you modified it to only accept 31 characters, because I believe that the 1.3 patch has 32 character ID's. If you did that, be sure to make it so that it accepts both 31 and 32 character ID's, or else the 1.3 people will get invalid pb-id.

I only know of two other people that use B3 on CoD2 1.2 and they (with their host) have been having the invalid PB-ID issue and they will be very greatful for a fix, even though it is just the three of us on 1.2 

I'll get back to you soon on how this beta works.

I've made it so only servers running version 1.2 of CoD2 with PB enabled will allow a 31 character pbid  you gotta gimme a little more credit than that

1.3.3b works with CoD2 1.2. Got it running for our server perfectly yesterday (Wednesday). To check this I searched the b3.log for 'pb-id' and found one error for user 'Holodoc'. I counted the characters in his id, and the sum was 30. Apparently CoD2 1.2 is more bugged than I thought...perhaps there is a reason they came out with 1.3 Patch 

Go figure, some pb-id are only 30 characters long

So everything is working that you edited, 31 character id's are now considered 'valid' for 1.2 CoD2 and 1.3.3b b3bot. Good work! As for what to do with this one users 30 character id...I am not sure. I will check the logs again for more 30 character id's if they exist. Thanks again for putting some time to this!

I could adjust this very easily. I'll set a range from 30-32 for next release.
