Hello there!

I was wondering if i would update to 1.7, if b3 plugins could break/not work anymore?
We are currently running 1.5.0.
Thanks for your help!

No i doubt that.

For plugins like ctime and chatlogger, you will have to update the databases tho, but these changes/updates are harmless and should go without a problem.

Tho, when updating, don't use old b3 files, fill in the new files just to be sure that you didn't swap out an new file with an old one.

As for plugins, well, you might wanna check if they have updates as well?

Some plugins, as Nocturnal1982 mentioned will need to be updated as well since B3 1.6 is in unicode. But all plugins that I know of that work in 1.5 also work in 1.7

BBB is usually backward compatible, because there are things added/corrected in new versions - not removed. But recheck version of every external plugin you use - since 1.5 probably many of them were updated.
Also I think it's a very good decision to use the newest version of the BBB, because there are tons of small bug-fixes.

I wish, that BBB could someday check all external plugins versions and notify when there's update available....
