Ok I contacted the game server host about the file permissions, here is what they got back to me with;
"Hi,
The FTP server is designed to allow you to download and upload files which i have confirmed is working fine on your server.

It looks like the B3 bot is switching directly to "main" after connecting, before changing in to the game root folder."

So this confirms that I can read and write to the folders, I have tried the ftp path(s) on my B3 that I have running from my home PC, and have also tried it using a host's B3 setup(Primary Target) and got the exact same error  (550 cmd error) connection to this folder/path, so I defiantly know its not my personal connection (my connection speed is 20mbps down/1mbps up) as it does it from the host as well. So yeah....I'm lost here.........any help here will be more than appreciated, been trying to fix this one error for over a week now and its driving me mad!!  Smiley

on a side note here GrossKopf was hosting the B3 for me, only just last month and all was running fine, I'm using the same ftp path as I was when GrossKopf hosted it. So that's why I'm at such a loss here.

Cheers

if you have installed B3 from sources, you could alter the ftpytail.py file to remove the CWD command

I just used the windows installer this time, but I will uninstall and use the source and try that, but hopefully I can get this fixed without doing that as well.

Before I do install it the other way,  I'm willing to pm someone my ftp path to my games_mp.log just so you can see why I am at such a loss with this, specially when it was working with the same path around 3 weeks ago, so if anyone wants the path to offer any more suggestions let me know.

edited: I have installed from source now, So what do I edit in the ftpytail.py file to remove the CWD  command like you said above( is it this line: ftp.voidcmd('TYPE I') ), sorry for prob a basic question but never used the source until now. Also by me changing this, will this make the in game commands work again?

**Solved, after installing with source and re-installing again, seems to be all working fine at the present, hopefully it stays that way!! Smiley thx for suggestions all.

** Also the only other thing I did do different, was I emptied my games_mp.log which was nearly half a GIG so that may have helped a bit too.
