Looks like a broken XML file issue. You can use a text editor like Notepad++ for editing XML files so it'll be easier to edit without breaking the syntax.

If you're not sure how to fix it, feel free to send your config file (REMOVE PASSWORDS) and we try to help you.

This is a great idea, but you mean b3.xml or other file ? If it is for him ->

You have this at the bottom line:

Code: xml
15:00 17.12.2011
Remove everything after </configuration>

Also checking your b3.xml, I think it's not a good idea to use such a long prefix.

Code: xml
Don't use a cheats/hacks!Punishment is BAN!

You should just put B3 or maybe your clan tag. That will be displayed before every B3 message.

You can use adv plugin for such messages. That will rotate messages you want.

One last thing, I recommend you to set log level to 8 until you're sure everything is working fine. This way you can see more detailed log if you have an error.

Good luck!

to become superadmin, type !iamgod in the game chat. Note that this command works only once.
If you want to add other players to the admin group, use the !putgroup command. More details about how to use these commands can be found on the documentation.

About MySQL, this forum is not meant to provide support for that. We try to focus on B3 installation and usage. Please try to find a tutorial or video walkthrough for "how to install MySQL on Windows". My advice would be to install WampServer as it will install a MySQL server for you as well as a webserver and MySQL admin tool called "phpmyadmin".

Good luck

You can and there is a specific distribution of B3 for that. Download and install the "B3 Lite for BF3" distribution that you can find on http://forum.bigbrotherbot.net/bf3b3-beta-board/current-test-focus/

This will install a B3 without the MySQL requirement. Note that the few plugins that requires a MySQL database will either not work or crash B3.

The installer asks you for your BF3 server details. You have to give the installer the IP address, the admin port and the admin password of you BF3 server. If you don't know what they are, ask your game hosting provider.

Note: do not put bmp images on the Internet, they are too big. upload only .png, .jpg, .jpeg or .gif images which are compressed formats. Use a screenshot software such as Gadwin to take screenshots in .png format.

Unless I am reading this incorrectly... you are running a CoD5 server?
In which case that special installer won't work as that is ONLY for BF3.

Sorry, no lite installer.

You could still use sqlite though - no need for MySQL. Same idea, just you use this in your b3.xml

<set name="database">sqlite://@conf/cod5.sqlite</set>

Thank's, but now B3 is associated with DB, but commands !stats !nextmap etc. are not working again.
