Remote b3 vs local b3
« on: April 18, 2016, 03:18:30 PM »
Hi guys,

Has there been a discussion, or has anyone done any performance testing about local b3 on the game server, or remote b3 on another server?

What is the comparison between the CPU resources used by b3, and the CPU resources required to upload the data to another server running b3?

I don't care so much about the performance about b3... more about the local game server.

Thanks!

B3 hosted on a remote machine is sligthly slow with respect to the other type of B3 install due to the fact that B3 has tro transfer the log file from one server to another using ftp/sftp/http so the response time is a little bit slower. As for CPU usage, I have never monitored it but to be honest I believe there is almost no difference.
