Couldn't find the Echelon Log - extra '/' in path
« on: September 28, 2013, 07:43:36 PM »
hey guys,

getting this error message for months now, tried looking into it but could not work it out :(

so, if i try and go into any options in the penalties drop down menu. i get the following error message.

Couldn't find the Echelon Log at: /var/www/testies.org//echelon/lib/log.txt

obviously the issue is that there is an extra /
but i can't work out what file has the settings.

any advice on what to check ?

Looks like the log path gets set at the end of inc/config.php.

If the setting for $path near the top of that file is correct then its probably easiest just to manually set ECH_LOG there to what you want it to be since the extra / would be coming from DOCUMENT_ROOT which is going to be hard to change.

after posting it started working lol.
but the 'other' pages weren't working either.

so looked at the config.php

$ech_log_path was ok.
Code: [Select]
$ech_log_path = getenv("DOCUMENT_ROOT").PATH."lib/log.txt";

but $path was:
Code: [Select]
$path = "/echelon/";

so changed it to:
Code: [Select]
$path = "/echelon";

other pages now working.

thanks for the help :)
