Please excuse me if i managed to place this topic in the wrong subsection of the forum and feel free to move it to the correct place Smiley

Anyways!

I, as a 1.5y ++ user of b3, i would like to ask for help (if any), to set up a payment option, ticket system, login system for a website which will be used for offering b3 hosting. Either direct help or some pointers/links to what i need and where i could find it.

I have full knowledge of how to set up databases, edit files and such. So the server side is fully known to me as far as i know.

I ask this, as i've long wanted to be able to contribute back to b3 by donating because i am so perfectly happy with it's features and it's excellent development so far Smiley
Aslo, because i want to be able to offer others a simpler way of getting such a power tool onto their servers.

Could anyone give me any pointers towards where and what you think i should do?
As i said, server side, i've got full control of service restarts, ftp, database as well as control over xlrstats deployment as well as echelon deployment over multiple instances.

Thank you for any replies on beforehand!

Also, should i manage to set up such a hosting service, what are the requirements for appearing on your b3 hosting page?

I might want to add that i already have hardware and internet line for such a task, and that i already own multiple domain names.

My current challenge is to get started with a secure payment system that is safe both for me and the client. As well as a nice panel which i can quickly add updates and info regarding hosting or what not, as well as that the client can issue a ticket to ask questions which i in return can address whatever problems the client has.

I am not a lazy person, so i've already done my share of googling towards this on beforehand. But i ask for guidance in regards to what others think might be the best kind of licensed/unlicensed panels/software for this kind of hosting.

hi,

The only professional experience I have with payment system is with a French bank with provided an API I used to redirect customers to their website to enter their credit card details for a secure payment.
Such a method allows anyone with a credit card to make payments but you have to be a fully registered company and sign up a contract with the bank offering the service.
But be aware that B3 users are mostly aged under 25 and the youngers probably have no credit card. That's why you be better of using a service like PayPal or allopass.

I will probably use paypal, as it is pretty secure from my point of view as long as you have a proper contract between you and the client, as it would keep the dispute level down.

I do enjoy you sharing with me the experience of that french bank that you  had an encounter with. Do you have a link laying around somewhere where i can find more info?

In regards to HTTP and such, i am looking for a universal panel which contains everything to get me started. Regardless if it's pay-to-own or open-source.

there is nothing more to share about that French bank. What you should do is contact your own bank to ask them what payment facilities they provide to companies.
What I've heard is that most banks provide more or less the same API.

Maybe you should view how was your problem solved by other b3 hosting companies? Check out TCADMIN or WHMCS.

I'd not trust any open-source panels. Remember, that you'll store very sensitive user data, so security is the first thing you should keep in mind.

I have reviewed many b3 hosters and other companies. Both of those i have viewed and thought of. And i am keeping high tabs on both, as they are both good.

I used both from client perspective. It all depends on configuration, but I had no problems with any of these panels. They are quite different, TCADMIN looks better (in my opinion of course) and seems more powerful and more integrated.
WHMCS has good billing and ordering system. However the hosting where I was using it, had separate support system, and separate control panel - which was rather inconvenient.

Well, from the looks of it, after reviewing both demo's multiple times, i would say that the best looking one from my perspective and usage, would be TCadmin. Tho WHMCS seems more suited for selling HTTP based stuff, i dunno. That's how they present it when you browse the demo atleast.

TCadmin was less complex, but with all features, and more to the point. Less menu's = good.

Yeah, TCAdmin seems like better choice for BBB from these two, but it's your money and decision Smiley

I like that 20 day test drive. In such a long time, you will be able to develop your scripts for running BBB and integrate them into the panel, test everything and then decide if it's worth paying.

From personal experience, here is what I found.
WHMCS is a excellent billing/support/order system. It works for BBB, no issues. It hooks in with multiple panels, including TCA. Go WHMCS is my advise.

TCAdmin, while a excellent panel for windows exes/games, has many flaws. And I mean many. Inability to run anything but a exe/bat, excessive CPU usage IMO, oh, and the best is the system requirements (windows only, etc). TBH, I don't of a single game panel that has the features you need that I like. I personally cobbled together a system from a few other systems that has it flaws but works for me. But TCAdmin does work for BBB and with WHMCS and TCA, you can automated everything. Gamers like familiarity and TCA is familiar to them

Quite valid points, and i do thank you for the input Smiley I'll absolutely remember them both.

Well, TCadmin beta has linux support i saw, but i'll try both of them out using the trial before i start renting, and then later buy a license if there's enough income to justify it.

For my sake, i will only be doing b3, as gameservers and voice servers are too expensive to start up on. So whether or not the software has a high cpu usage, that doesn't matter as b3 and mysql doesn't use anything at all. Not on windows, and especially not on linux.

My plan, sort of say, is that i wish to be able to finance a future for my clan. Whatever hardware would be needed incase parts breaks and what not, as well as be able to contribute something back to BBB community and the developers by giving donations as i know you do MordY.

And, i just don't want to give back to B3 to get on the "b3 hosting" page. I want to be able to spread b3 as much as i can because from all the damned programs that i've tried, plugins, remote rcons and what not, b3 is the absolute best in all senses. It has a little of everything from all places, as well as a lot of features that are unique to b3 itself.

While things like b3 can always be improved upon, it suits all my needs, is stable and reliable. You've got more and more people giving b3 attention, helping out, community growing, more plugins being created, everyone helping everyone make what was already good, into something great Smiley

Anyway, i'm rambling hehe, but yeah, i love b3 <3

Before I started to only rent out VPS's, I hosted B3's and for that I used WHMCS to take the order and monitor payments, plus do support, and it was set up to automatically set up B3 once payment is made, via TCAdmin, so it's best to use both together.
