Hey guys,
Could you guys please help when my bot says something it always says it in console written from my server? is that normal if not please tell how to fix. if it is normal how do i make it talk in chat like everyone elses b3? also how do i change the auto message/news?? im newb to b3 so i have alot of ?'s lol any help will be apreciated

B3 is able to send different types of messages to a game server :

• broadcast message : displayed to all players (usually in the chat zone)
• personal message : displayed to a single players only

additionally, UrT allows to broadcast "server messages" on the top left corner of the screen.

I hope this clears things up. Now I am not sure which one you are talking about when saying "in console written from my server". If you are referring to the top left corner messages, then you might be running a Quake3 server with the UrT mod. Note that B3 is not working properly with such a server. B3 is meant to work good with the ioUrTded server which is available for download at http://www.urbanterror.info/

The automessage/news are handled by the adv plugin. Check out its config file : plugin_adv.xml if you want to change the rate at which messages are displayed or if you want to change the messages.
If you whish to disable the whole plugin, just remove it from your b3.xml config file.

Please, take your time to write your questions. Make efforts to write good English and split your different questions over multiple lines. In other words, make your message nice to read. This will give you a better chance to see someone taking on his own time to write you back.

yes i do mean top left corner, i am not running the quake 3 mod, and nothing shows up in game chat, say type !rules it says it in the topr left corner. Now when i go to another server rules is displaded in global chat?

Are you running the dedicated server as it is on www.urbanterror.info ? the application name you should be running is ioUrTded.exe

yes i am running the actull game iourt, i am running a correct server, i have been for a while now, and now choose to add b3.

i know the rcon cmds i want b3 to talk in chat, see lets see the news plugin says something it says it in the feed (top left corner) and normaly on other servers it is running in chat? and if someone team kills and the !fp him it say player has forgiven player in the feed (top left corner) and on every other server its in chat.

Most likely someone doesn't know the answer in this case, since you have not provided a ton of info. I would start with game server and b3 logs.

Yes sorry bravo, also all i want is to make b3 talk in chat. right now the bot is talking in the top left corner (through console) now i want it in chat i will bost my log if needed but this seems more of like a code issue.

I asked you about screenshot because I don't understand your problem. My bot is talking on the chat:

Also when I use rcon say it goes into the chat:

But When I don't use "say" command, just enter /rcon some text, it goes like this into console:

So either you have something messed up with server binary (maybe you use some strange bugged windows binaries, which have tons of bugs?) or you don't know what you want:)

it talks like in the third picture. i belive there is something wrong with the code and instead of using rcon say its say rcon then no say. but in my server console it says its using the /rcon say cmd?? i will post as shot in a moment

How do you take a screenshot in urt? lol. i tried printing my screen to my clipboard didnt work?

What version of the server do you have?

What happens if you manually type /rcon say something in your console? does it appear on the chat or console?

P.S. on my screenshots I have messages on the chat starting with a star '*', don't worry about it, it's just custom server binary:)

im not sure what kind of server im running but i have iourt 4.1.1 and lol when i type /rcon say it says it in console from my server so its a server error and i have to talk to the urban terror folks so thats all you guys can do for me thanks every one! if you have any idea how to fix it let me know!
