I'm starting this topic to list all known flaws with Urban Terror that give B3 a hard time.
One day, maybe some Urt dev will take the time to fix problems we describe here.
Also this can be used to list what we cannot find in urt logs, but would be useful to us, or what /rcon command we'd like to have.

Bug list :
Wish list
  • have callvote requests and answers logged
  • disable/enable callvote request/answers for a given player (a bit like mute)
  • having mute and unmute events written in the log
  • Unbanning registered in logfile
  • more details in hitlines (post)
  • Consistent logging for Actions: (post)

- flag grabbing
- flag dropping (and who caused it)
- flag capping

- mediccing

mediccing hmm that is a tough question how to rate this.

multiple options:
first option:
-  mediccing as such with a medipack in your gear should give something
- carrying a medipack and not mediccing for x amount of minutes should ceate a warning?

second option:
- mediccing someon to almost full health should return a message
- mediccing someone as such should return a message
-carrying a medipack as such

There is a way to check for medikit, see 6.3.1 - Gear Bindings in http://www.urbanterror.net/urt_manual/gear.htm
It is used in weaponcontrolurt plugin

Wishlist: Unbanning registered in logfile. Might be useful, no?

Wish: The amount of damage done in a 'Hit' line in the log. Something like this:

Code:
149:09 Hit: 4 5 4 19 25: Player1 hit Player2 in the Arms - 25 health taken

I don't really know URT, but aren't there really irritating multiple kill lines?

Make them single?

Or am I stupid?

Yep. I am working on a remote rcon web app that links in with b3. One of my most annoying challenges is the chat interface. I extract chat from the server log that is synced with ftptail, but I have no good way to see what I write in line with the rest of the chat (if I append it to the log, ftptail overwrites). Even more annoying is when more than one admin is logged in to my system and neither of us can see what the other is writing, so all the players on the server think that admin is scitzo.
