Hello All B3 Hosts And Staff,

I have been thinking of starting my own B3 Provider.I already got a name for it , and a website almost ready. The only thing that got me complicated now is that i can't choose what dedicated server exactly should i get(Like how much ram, Processor And Internet Speed Will I Need With It).

Regards,
John

Single bot, with almost 25 plugins takes 20mb of RAM and 80MB of VIRT mem with python 2.7.2. And I've never seen usage higher than 2% on processor around 2.1GHz.

But it all DEPENDS Wink

I'm Thinking On Starting With A  Cent Os 5.6

Celeron / Atom

2Gb DDR2

1Tb HDD

What Do You Think? Will I Be Able To Take Up Like 10 Bots? Or More?

For just bots should be ok, but if you want the control panel/website and other stuff hold on the same server, you need to keep in mind that these also need some power.

This Celeron/Atom - how many cores has? what speed?

For sure you'll have to look for the provider, who will allow you, to upgrade the server in case of increased needs. If your business would expand quickly, then you will have to buy something better.

I was thinking about starting my own hosting just like Mordy, however i have no idea how to code a script to setup the SQL DB and everything, of course i could do it manually, but that would be a pain after awhile.

Anyone have a script handy that i can edit?

You wan't to start serious hosting and you are looking for ready to use solutions? Maybe somebody will give you such script, but don't expect a lot.

Read about MySQL, setting up sql db account and running sql query to create tables for bbb shouldn't be that hard, if you know something about PHP or other programming launguage in which you plan to code core of your system
