Hi there, i need some help getting the bot to work.
I'm using windows xp, installed all dependencies:
- python 2.5.4
- Mysql-python 1.2.2
- Mysql- 5.0.77
- Elementtree 1.2.6-20050316
- ez_setup.py

by the book.

i set up mysql as root, from the *.sql files in the b3\docs folder

i want to set up a Urban Terror as a q3a mod, not iourt.
Manually configured the b3.xml, i noticed the pars must be iourt41 and not q3a as i previewsly thought.
The bot doesnt respond to any "!" commands, nor welcoms. He is only sending the ads and rules.

what is wrong? if you need any additional info please tell.

Can you post the b3 logfile?

That may help us pinpoint the problem.

in your log, there is no example of anyone saying anything, hence no command for the bot to respond to.

Also, when you restart the bot, you have to reconnect to the game or the bot will ignore you.

Thank you both for the reply, however i tried this:

closed everything.
Started the urt server
started the bot.
waited for the first bot "say" command
then connected to the game server, and waited for the bot to "say" big brother bot is watching you. (Nice say btw)
then i typed !help, !register, !stats, several times, mostly !help.
then disconnected.

i send the log of these actions.
( dunno why i cant post the log.. exeeds the caracters, it's even shorter than the last log )
anyways the log looks verymuch like the previews one (at my nooby eyes..)

isnt this the problem?

it should be looking for the UrT log file, seems like this is in wrong directory
 it doesnt see the commands because its not reading the correct log file

this is my cod4 server log

hey! that worked,i was wrong about the path and the log.. eheh
now he is telling me "Please try your command after you have been authenticated"
i guess there is post with this issue somewhere in the forum..
