Hi all, i just installed B3. love it makes life easy, however when i start it via SSH it says b3 is running and loads all plugins etc.

Works ok in game, but i noticed when i go back into the game server a few hours later it !commands are not responding. Then notice b3 isnt running at all.

I look in my SSH window and it still says B3 running same as before.

I restart it using the -r command in SSH and off it goes again. Few hours later same thing.

Any help at all and if nothing is wrong with my config is there a way to AUTO restart it when it goes down?

Are you sure, that your gamehosting allows BBB? It might be the issue with the ftp log reading (like gamehosting blocks ftp access after some time).

Try in b3.xml:
<set name="delay">1</set>
(I'd try more, but this will make the BBB responding slower to commands)

great point, Ok where UrT is hosted they dont care about external B3. Thats fine. So im running B3 on my own external linux server. Thats a good point, if its connected via FTP and FTP has a "timeout" when there is no activity that could disconnect it!?

If so thanks your a legend. If not what next?

GRRR still doing it, could it be when "putty" times out that B3 also shuts down? I mean i nknow the server is still running obviously but could it "kill" a current program.

Like when u run B3 do you HAVE to stay in the screen that says b3 running??

That could be the cause no?

FTP servers usually have timeout, but after inactivity, and BBB generates activity all the time:)

Hm... you have to run BBB in the screen ( http://aperiodic.net/screen/quick_reference ), so when you close putty/disconnect from ssh it stays running.

Just to add, whenever you start something in linux, if you close the console, everything yuo started will stop. Use screen as mentioned above - very easy. Just type screen -mS ANameHere then press enter (you can replace ANameHere with anything) and then start the bot. Then hit Ctrl+a+D to detach. To re-attach, do screen -r ANameHere
