I have a member in my clan who has recently let his roomate use his computer to play COD4.
His roomate uses his own name and profile, but when the Bot rotates the Admins online message, he is listed as an Admin. This is not stisfactory as far as our clan is concerned, as it appears he may be an imposter as he has no tags. I have told him to stop allowing his roomate to use his computer for COD4, while I check to see if I can resolve the situation.
Being on the same ip is probably the problem, is there a workaround for this situation?
If his roomate joined our clan and played from the same computer, would the Bot be able to separate the two players Admin levels, as these would be different?
Nope, Nope, and Nope to your questions.
B3 uses GUID not IP to authenticate a player. You can make as many profiles as you want, but if the CD Key of the game is the same, then the GUID will be the same, and the bot will see them as one person.
The only way to separate the 2 players is 2 CD Keys.
You can use the same computer and IP for both if you want, but the key needs to be unique
