Hello!

I actually have B3 and xlrstats+web running good for my UrT server.
(Linux server)

Now i would like to create a second instance for my COD4 server.
B3 + web stats.
Could anyone kindly advice the proper way to do this please?

Launching b3 with a a new b3.xml seems to be a solution but i'll have then to modify other plugins too : status etc..
And it seemed not to work very good...

Does anyone has a similar configuration and could lead me to the proper steps to follow please.
I don't want to wreck my working urt b3 once again...

Thanks by advance!

hi,

what I would do is to not only make a separated b3.xml, but a entire copy of the conf folder. That way you separate completely both config for your two servers.

Note that in config files, "@conf/" is a shortcut for the folder that contains the current b3.xml file.

Courgette,

Thanks for your reply.
Here is how i did. Hopefully that can help people.

Description: running 2 b3 instances with xlrstats and its web page.
1. Create a new db for your second server (you can use the same user of course).
2. Make 2 different folders for each instance of b3.
Code:
Example:
/home/somedude/UrbanTerror/b3/
/home/somedude/cod4/b3/
3. Edit the b3.xml, the status.xml and the adv.xml for each server.
(edit other plugin config files if needed)
Code:
Example for status.xml:
urt status.xml /var/www/xlrstats/status/statusurt.xml
cod4 status.xml /var/www/xlrstats/status/statuscod4.xml
Note: For COD4, you may need to put your public ip for rcon to work (in my case local ip didn't work).
4. Start your b3 instances and check your b3 logs of course...
5. Go to your xlrstats web folder/conf and rename statsconfig.php to statsconfig1.php, make a copy that you'll name statsconfig2.php and edit it to fit your second server.
6. Access to http://path.to.xlrstats/config/install_award_idents.php
It will automatically create the servers pages.

You're done.

The steps above worked perfectly for my particular case and the steps for the webfront are in the provided readme file.
Problems often come from a bad configuration in your xml files or in bad permissions to your folders.
If you feel that the configs are being strangely mixed up, as Courgette adviced, replace the @conf/ shortcut with the full path to your config files.

I would be happy to help anyone willing to do a similar installation.
