Hi, I have a problem, that I cannot find a solution to anywhere.

I have a dedicated server and run b3 on that perfectly.  So I know more or less the setup of the bot.

However, I decided to start doing testing on my personal computer.  I have an almost duplicate setup to that of my dedi's bot... however my server doesnt seem to be writing a Games_mp.log

Even if I try to create a plank (.txt) file and name it Games_mp.log
My server does not write to the log file... obviously resulting in a complete fail of the bot.

Since there are alot of clued up people around here I have decided to give these forums a try.  After countless hours of looking elsewhere... this seemed a sensible option.

I know its not really what you guys are for, helping with game server operation... but it seems such a simple thing, which i dont understand how it could be going wrong.

Side Notes:

The server.cfg files are exactly the same on both my personal server and my dedi box servers.
On my personal, there is NO mods running.

Thanks in advance.

In my server.cfg file I have this set.

Code:
//console log - 0=no log 1=buffered 2=continuous 3=append
set g_logsync "2"
set g_log "games_mp.log"

Dedi Server Runs Windows 2003 Server

In my server.cfg file I have this set.

Code:
//console log - 0=no log 1=buffered 2=continuous 3=append
set g_logsync "2"
set g_log "games_mp.log"

Unfortunately I had no success with this either.  Thanks anyway though!

Nevermind, I got it working  Cool

Turns out the games_mp.log was being written, but to a completely different and pointless location on the drive.
Everything is running smooth now Cheesy

To anybody else, who might happen to have a similar problem with the Games_mp.log file "apparently" not being written, or even created.  Do a search on your drive, and chances are, you will find it elsewhere, and being written to.
You shouldn't move it unless you know what you're doing (not that I do) because if thinking correctly, it will just create a new one in the original folder you found it in and not make a blind bit of difference.  But even at that, I still wouldn't move it... if its working fine... DON'T touch it lol!

Can be locked, or closed or whatever now.
