Good morning,
OK I have been trying to figure B3 out for about a week now.
I have read you install directions time and time again but for some reason I can't seem to wrap my head around it. I understand the core idea around it. But for the life of me can't figure out how to install it all.

I am trying to install this on (2) CoD 1.5 servers.

If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. I have never been very good working around programs like this.

Thank you for your time,
Vixen

Hi,

Can you describe on what kind of machine you want to install B3 on ?
Is it a Windows or Linux machine ?
Do you have admin rights on that machine ?
Is the game server also installed in this machine ?

Hi,

Can you describe on what kind of machine you want to install B3 on ?
Umm, It's a dedicated server I pay for monthly from a server company a friend of mine owns.
http://www.vcodservers.com/

Here are the server Specs:
Intel core2quad dedicated servers!
8GB Ram
100mbit uplink, centrally located in Chicago
Easy to use TCADMIN control panel
Ftp access to your server directory
Mod support

Is it a Windows or Linux machine ?
The servers are Windows based.

Do you have admin rights on that machine ?
I can upload and change the ftp files on my servers if that's what you mean. I have complete FTP access.

Is the game server also installed in this machine ?
No, its a dedicated server I pay for.

I hope this answers your questions. If you need more information then please ask,

Thank you for your assistance,
Vixen

you can only install B3 on a machine you have admin right on. B3 is a software and need to be executed.

But you are not required to run B3 on the same machine as the one running your game server, provided that you can access your game log files through FTP/SFTP/HTTP. This means you can run B3 on your home computer.

OK So yes I can access the ftp for my servers if this what you mean (look @ ss below) I can also access server files via filezilla. That's how I edit all my server files.

Ok that's gibberish to me...

But in other words to have this thing run 24/7 even if I was offline. I need to have Adam Install this on the server from his end? (he is the head tech for VCoD).

Or can I install it so it runs 24/7? If I can then by all means I will continue to try to get this straight in my head. Otherwise, I'm gonna start pestering him.

If you want B3 to administrate your game server 24/7, then you need to run B3 on a machine that runs 24/7

Ok then, I'm off to email/text/voice mail Adam into submission then...LOL

Cause none of my admins are on 24/7 so that would be pointless.
I thank you for your assistance and your time in helping me.

I hope you have a wonderful day,

You may want to consider a company that hosts B3, such as any site in this list. It will save you lots of hassle. Smiley
