Hi
I figured I'd ask here since it seems you guys are the only ones who actually know how to install b3

What I was hoping if anyone here knows how to go about installing b3 using tcadmin.
We have our own dedicated server so we can install anything thats required for it to run.
We had it running before, but uninstalled everything prior to installing tcadmin to make a fresh start.
I figured before installing b3 I'd ask here if there is any sort of walkthrough for a step by step involving tcadmin.

When I searched the forums here I didn't find much to go on, but I couldn't help but notice an interesting statement by "Bakes": http://www.bigbrotherbot.com/forums/plugins/webinterface/msg8086/#msg8086

I once did a b3 config for TCadmin. It auto-installed and configured b3, which was pretty cool.

And I see plenty GSP's who have b3 as an option for their clients.
We installed TCadmin to make life easier on us in the long run, and now we want to add b3 as well.
But it's proving to be a pain in the...

So if anyone has some tips/advice, I'd appreciate it.

I wrote that script for a GSP, which used it to load up B3 installations quickly, so B3 could be automatically installed when a user ordered their server. There's no good reason to use TCadmin to manage b3 unless you are a GSP. If you want a start-stop service, try firedaemon trinity. From what I heard they have a free version available to clans.

I also really need to know how to do this. Every installation method is as if we want to install it and run it on our home computer acting as a server. This is not the case as it needs to be running 24/7. That's why I need to know how to install it on the game server itself. I have ftp access to the server if that makes any difference. But I need assistance installing it on my server. Somebody PLEASE hit me up on xfire or aim.   my handle is cdrom1019.  Thanks in advance

Well, we recommend running remotely only if you don't have full access to the gameserver. If you only pay $30 per month or whatever for a server, instead of a full dedicated server (or only have ftp access), you'll need to install it on your home computer.

Bakes if you have that config that would be good as we run this for our clients on win2003 servers and clients have to come to me to get b3 stopped and started again

Sorry, I did it over a year ago now and definitely no longer have it.

What you want to do is have the bot as a secondary application to the server, and have an install script that first generates a mysql file and then executes it, and also that generates the config.

Sorry, but I can't help you more than this.
