i am trying to set up a stats page on www.myxlrstats.net     the site owner got into my computer and this is the conversation we had.....any ideas mordyt???

[FLOT]GrossKopf: Where are the B3 logs? I'm using the python version of B3, so the files and directory structure is a little different
-{DUI}-Tromus: not sure havent looked at them   mordyt set this up for me
-{DUI}-Tromus: these files are what he set up
[FLOT]GrossKopf: This is very different from what I have set up. If I can't see the log files, I can't see what the problem is
-{DUI}-Tromus: can i show you something
[FLOT]GrossKopf: I'm really not too sure. This directory structure is so different from what I am familiar with. I've never used the Windows executable package before, so it's hard for me to even figure out if the directory structure is correct.
[FLOT]GrossKopf: Sure
-{DUI}-Tromus: im not sure where he set the b3.log at
[[FLOT]GrossKopf: Restart B3
[FLOT]GrossKopf: I really don't know, The plugin_status.xml file appears correct. The FTP path to the status.xml file is correct. For some reason the webpage doesn't seem to be accessing it.
[FLOT]GrossKopf: It doesn't appear that any stats are actually being collected right now.
-{DUI}-Tromus: does this help
[FLOT]GrossKopf: I did add your IP to the list of allowed IP's, but the log file seems to indicate that B3 can't connect to the status file, even though it's clearly being written
[FLOT]GrossKopf: I'd have to suggest you post about this on the B3 forums, in the XLRStats sub forum, Include your b3.xml with passwords removed and include the b3.log file. They guys there know a lot more about this than I do. I don't see any problems
-{DUI}-Tromus: no one on the server has 500 kills....could it be that???
[FLOT]GrossKopf: No, the problem is either that XLRStats isn't reading the status.xml file, or possibly a connection problem between your B3 and the database where the XLRStats are stored. I'm not real sure though, which is why I think it would be best to post on the B3 forums. There's probably something I'm missing
-{DUI}-Tromus: i will do that...where would line 179 be???
[FLOT]GrossKopf: Where did you get that error from?
-{DUI}-Tromus: when i clicked here
-{DUI}-Tromus: when i clicked on 15 maps   15 weapons...its not doing it now
[FLOT]GrossKopf: I wouldn't worry about that. I think I fixed that error. One other thing to try, when your server is empty, is to stop your server, stop b3. Start your server, then start B3 and give it a few minutes and see if the missing information from the stats page appears and see if player's data starts working. I did make a couple changes that may have fixed the problem, but it might just need that kind of restart to work again.
-{DUI}-Tromus: ill try that
[FLOT]GrossKopf: Ok then, post that message on the b3 forums and let me know what they say, also try that restart. It might just start working with the changes I made
-{DUI}-Tromus: fantastic...ill let you know what i find out

The OP now has a list of file locations on his desktop in a text file called b3.txt for Grosskopf to look at.

From what I could tell, the status.xml file is being written to the webserver. The only possible issue is that the webserver can't access his local database. I would recommend export frm computer and import into the webserver, then update b3.xml to use the new database...

XLRStats is using a database on the same webserver as the XLRStats webfront. We need the b3.xml posted here along with the b3.log so the experts can look to see what the problem is.

Maybe I was looking at a different b3.xml because in the one I looked at, it had the correct database information... his set up is quite different from what I am use to. I have always used the python installation so I really don't know how to help him.

That is what I'm telling you. His setup involves different path that I wrote down for you. It is also the cause of this issue. None of his xml file should be in the desktop; they should all be in program files or program data etc.
