Requires 2.6.

Followed the installation doc from top link to the letter, instructions takes you first to Python installation where you are presented with Python 2.7 (plus later versions) so I installed that.

Must I now remove everything and start from scratch and install 2.6?

We aren't physic, Installation docs are very thorough (bordering on long-winded) but this key instruction ie, "only install version 2.6" should be placed at the very top seeing as it's the first step and a successful installation apparently requires it.

Hopefully, I don't have to, damn, was going quite well too :\
