Hello,

at first: I used the board search and I've found a lot of these errors. But 99,9% of the described errors took place between the ears of their author. Our problem IS NOT that we didn't follow the routine as it is described by the documentation.

We already have 2 B³ Bots up and running, it's not our first attempt and we "know" what we are doing, thats why we are almost raging.

Code:
120106 16:07:37 BOT     'www.bigbrotherbot.net (b3) v1.8.0dev16 [nt] [Myrthe]'
120106 16:07:37 BOT     'Python: 2.6.5 (r265:79063, Mar 20 2010, 14:22:52) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)]'
120106 16:07:37 BOT     'Default encoding: ascii'
120106 16:07:37 BOT     'Starting Bf3Parser v0.1 for server 195.122.135.102:25210'
120106 16:07:37 BOT     '--------------------------------------------'
120106 16:07:37 BOT     'Attempting to connect to database mysql://USERNAME:******@localhost/DATABASENAME...'
120106 16:07:37 CRITICAL "No module named MySQLdb. You need to install python-mysqldb. Look for 'dependencies' in B3 documentation."
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:\Program Files\BigBrotherBot4BF3\b3\storage\database.py", line 170, in getConnection
    import MySQLdb
ImportError: No module named MySQLdb

Phython version: 2.7.2
Python-MySQLdb: 1.2.3

We tried 32bit and 64bit (of course not mixed, we tried either 64bit or 32bit versions of both)

Thx in advance for any ideas we could check.

Kind regards,
henk

The log says you are using Python 2.6.5, you say you have Python 2.7.2.

My guess is that you are not running the version of Python that you installed Python mysqldb on, but an older install on your machine.

That's it, thanks  Smiley

Python 2.6.5 is obviously part of the standard of Plesk. We now try to tell Plesk that it should use the new python... but we dont know how. We know, thats not your business but thanks once for the the hint.

regards,
henk
