Continuing from my previous topic.... http://www.bigbrotherbot.net/forums/installation-support/i-feel-like-a-idiot/msg15255/

I spoke with my server provider and he mention he could not do it on his end since it would effect the entire server base.

So here is my question and please bear with me since I am a noob with this program.

Can I install it on one of my servers via the FTP access I have? and if I did would it mess up all the rest of the servers he hosts? I don't think it would since the ftp is contained to 1 server... Again IDK,  Since IDK how this program works.

Thank you all for your Patience and input.

A remote installation is what will suits your situation.
Install B3 on your own machine and set it up to remotely read your game log file on your gameserver host server.

This way, the only load you put on your gameserver host is the FTP activity between B3 and their FTP server. Note that B3 never download the full gamelog file ; it only reads the tail. So if your gameserver log file grows of 5 MB per day, then the added load will be a transfert of those 5 MB in a day Smiley

Uploading it to your server via FTP wouldn't work because you can't execute the file needed to start B3 from FTP. You'd need to host it remotely and connect to your server via FTP to get the log (unless it's BC2, in which case it connects via rcon).

You could always take the easy route and go with one of the B3 host companies, as seen in the General Discussion forum.
