Hey B3.
So heres what i want to know. Im trying to run B3 on my server (windows Xp) and keep getting a recon error. Have Done loads of things to make it work But none so far have worked (checked Ip;s. Ports. And recon seems to connect through a recon tool but doesnt work 100% properly) So would reinstalling onto windows 7 on the server make any difference? And also what is the recon "stuff" all about?. I have gavered it's what B3 and the server use to comminicate. Like if i say (/b SniperKing) thats what handle's it? Any way can someone please explain to me what it does exactrly and how it works. Much appriciated.
Reece.

Welcome to the forums!

Yes, rcon allows b3 to talk to the server and get information back from the server.

If you want to know more i suggest that you google RCON not RECON to find out.

If you want help you need to post your b3 xml and b3 log files, but remove the passwords first.

Windows 7 isn't going to make a difference as to whether it works or not.

One thing with COD6, make sure that you have followed the Alteriw instructions carefully, and that your game and server aren't trying to run on the same IP and port.

Hey thanks for your reply its much apprieciated.

I have posted my B3 Logs once before no one could help me. And thanks for correcting my spelling for the rcon. This will help me alot. And also the server isnt running from my house so the game wont run on the same ip as the server. also I have installed it all correct because i did have a server unning from my P.c and it all worked fine. Its only since i moved all the files to my dads server it wont load b3. I was wondering if my Bt Home Hub 3 is causing this. Because i read somehwere about the portfowarding isnt exactly brilliant on this new hub. Its a new hub out. I had the BT home Hub 2 on my P.c and it worked. Now with this Bt Hub3 it doesnt even work on my p.c.. does any one have any knowledge on this please let me know
Thanks for your help guys.

I wish I could help you but I don't know much about port forwarding on that device. Best bet - check http://portforward.com/ for info on getting ports set up.
