Hello, I have been working hard trying to get B3 up and running on my MW2 alteriwnet dedicated server.

I will be running B3 from my computer at home, and connecting to the server through FTP.

my question is, i read this in the BBB documentation for manual B3.xml configuring....

If you want to run b3 on a different computer to your server (remote access to the gamelog), you can use the following syntax. It will connect over ftp. Python 2.6 is required.

does that mean all i need to do is install Python 2.6, or do i need to setup B3 with the source code or Egg distribution?

If you use the windows package, you do not need python installed. The windows package (both installer and no installer) already come with all you need minus the database.

if you want to use source code or egg, you need python.
