I have a problem when i start b3bot after installing

checking for updates...

what is the version of b3 you are using ?
can you check that you can access http://www.bigbrotherbot.net/version.xml from the computer running b3 ?

try to run b3 after shutting down your firewall or make an exception rule for B3 in your firewall

Okay. i have done that.
When the firewall is off than come this Traceback window and when the firewall is on there is just standing "checking for updates..."
Do you know what to do??

But i have G.Data firewall..when i have g-data firewall on than there is standing "cheking for updates..". i wait 15 minutes but nothing happends. I can have the windows firewall on, but than come the Traceback mistake again. Only when i have the G-data firewall on than stand there "checking for updates.."

I hope you can help me

PS: Can it be that the bot isnt runnig on windows vista?? i have a pc from my brother with XP and i can try to do it there.

try to make an exception rule on your firewall for B3 or www.bigbrotherbot.net

you could try to install the bot from sources instead of using the windows installer.
You will need to install python and python-mysql on your computer as described in the Documentation

Try to start the b3 bot with adminrights!
In german:
Rechte maustaste->als administrator ausführen

wenns immernoch nicht geht:

rechte maustatste->im kompatibilitätsmodus ausführen

Try it with WinXP sp2

It's a little bit late but now I have the problem =))

It's Windows Vista. (WOW?!)

But you can try it on the other computer (with xp or what have you sayed?)
