Hey all,

I have been up and down the forums and Google trying to figure out what seems to be a simple path problem. The topics I have come across either lack the proper path are for linux or xaamp or they just say they I got it working but do not put the solution.

I have big brother setup and working on my bfbc2 server. That uses the file b3.xml for its settings in the conf folder. Now I have 3 mw2 servers on the same box same ip that have different ports 28960, 28961 and 28962. I understand from reading that I can have one instance of the b3 bot installed and share the configurations using the -c switch to point to the different xml files.

This is my issue I am trying to create a windows shortcut for testing that will go into fire daemon once its working that will run the other xml files I have configured for each port. I have already configured the separate databases, just a fyi but not even at that point yet.

Here is what my windows shortcuts looks lie, I have tried many variations with no luck "C:\Program Files (x86)\BigBrotherBot_1.4.1\b3_run.exe" -c c:\Program Files (x86)\BigBrotherBot_1.4.1\cod6\cod6.xml the cod6 folder has a copy of all the files in the conf folder. I have also tried to run the cod6.xml files from the conf folder but it does not work I have 3 separate xml files in that folder. The problem is when I click the shortcut I get this

We're about to generate a main configuration file for
BigBrotherBot. This procedure is initiated when:

 1. you run B3 with the option --setup or -s
 2. the config you're trying to run does not exist <--------------------------------------------------------------- Huh??
    (c:\Program)
 3. you did not modify the distributed b3.xml prior to
    starting B3.

[Enter] to continue, 'abort' to abort Setup:

I cant seem to figure out why it does not see the cod6.xml file is something wrong with my shortcut?

Thanks!

Justin

hi, welcome aboard Smiley

When you edit your windows shortcut, wrap any path that contains space characters with double quotes. You should have something like :
Code:
c:\somewhere\b3_run.exe -c "c:\somewhere\else\conf1\b3.xml"
