b3 upgrade
« on: December 21, 2013, 12:30:13 AM »
Hi all,

we currently use b3 version 1.9.0dev2.
some time soon were moving our VPS.
I was looking to see if the b3 version 1.10.0 was ready for a stable release or would we be better using b3 version 1.9.1 (poison ivy)

cheers  ???

Right now 1.9.1 is the stable release.  Work is being done on 1.10 at this time and hopefully the guys working very hard on it will have it out.

You can kinda follow there progress on the forums here:

The daily builds are here:

The daily builds are needed for BF4 (no support in prior version) and highly recommended for Arma 2 & 3 (various bug fixes in the parser).

For all other games they will offer some improvements, but 1.9.1 will work just fine.

thanks all,

the reason I asked is we were thinking of using the new xlrstats version 3 which requires b3 version 1.10.0

Basically all the issues that you found!  ;D

but these are noted in the parser specifically

Code: [Select]
# 07/27/2013   1.0
#   - Sync won't remove clients which are already connected by not yet authed (unverified guid)
# 09/16/2013   1.1
#   - add handling of Battleye Script notifications. New Event EVT_BATTLEYE_SCRIPTLOG
# 10/09/2013   1.1.1
#   - Add handling of empty player list returned from server

Could be when the server doesn't provide one, but if you find an instance where the sever does provide one and it doesn't reach the db then please post the log and we will take a look.

the servers BF4 and ARMA3 provide an IP, that's why i told you that i still have an issue.

i will send you a log. i suppose that you need an  "8" option for the log

for the moment, here is a part of the log with 9 option,
You can see that babass has an ip but, the IP has disappear for the storage.
Same issue with BF 3 or 4 and Arma 2 or 3.

Thanks Mario,

could you try this version (1.1.3) of the abstractparser?

If you could check your logs for 'Player GUID not yet known' and see if the player keeps their ip when they get authed. It looks like it happens if the sync occurs after they have connected but before the server has computed their guid, so it probably isn't all that common. If not please provide a log.

he has one now because he disconnected from server and cameback.

300 players came on the server yesterday and just an issue with this guy. So i think we have to wait and check more.
Sorry.

I think that I have found the issue. It will take a few days to confirm and code a fix, hopefully at the weekend.
