I'm willing to put some time in it, just need a test server and proper access to it.

Hm, guess I'd also need a gameclient to see what goes on... is it still available?

Just for information for any other person wondering if Quake 3 Arena is still supported by B3, the answer is yes and no :

- the q3a parser doesn't work as of now, I don't really know why but maybe some other devs can answer. I think it's just too old and wasn't maintained to be standalone (but FYI, the q3a parser is actively used by most of the other parsers !).

- the oa081 parser should work for q3a, as it was designed for the opensource alternative called OpenArena which is based on the ioquake3 project, itself based on the source code of Quake 3 Arena. But as OA implements new functionnalities, there can be some glitches.

So yes, you should be able to get B3 runs on Q3A using the oa081 parser, but some glitches may happen.
