Hi guys,

I've just downloaded installed and tested this, but I keep getting errors.
The error I get is;

Code: [Select]
130107 08:26:01	ERROR	"handler AdminPlugin could not handle event Say: gaierror: [Errno 11004] getaddrinfo failed [('b3\\\\parser.pyo', 1053, 'handleEvents', None), ('b3\\\\plugin.pyo', 158, 'parseEvent', None), ('b3\\\\plugin.pyo', 176, 'onEvent', None), ('b3\\\\plugins\\\\admin.pyo', 296, 'handle', None), ('b3\\\\plugins\\\\admin.pyo', 441, 'OnSay', None), ('b3\\\\plugins\\\\admin.pyo', 2227, 'execute', None), \\\\\\\\extplugins\\\\contact.py', 157, 'cmd_contact', None), ('smtplib.pyo', 249, '__init__', None), ('smtplib.pyo', 309, 'connect', None), ('smtplib.pyo', 284, '_get_socket', None), ('socket.pyo', 553, 'create_connection', None)]"
130107 08:26:01 DEBUG "getCommand: ('admin.say', '(WGG): [pm] There was an error processing your command', 'player', 'G1ock')"

It's as if it's not connecting to the smtp client.
I've checked the socket type in the py file and it's so;

                email['Subject']=sujetmail
                server = smtplib.SMTP('smtp.gmail.com',587)

According to Google it could be port 465 instead.. should this be edited then?
I am using v. 1.3.5 taken from http://forum.bigbrotherbot.net/downloads/?sa=view;down=74

Is there a different one? Or a version that I DO need to look at?

 :P

Consider this fixed, I found an updated version on GitHub which works fine - the one linked here does not work.   :-X

Great plugin, works great.  I have a question though.

Right now i have it set up when someone types !contact <message>, an email is sent to our gmail account and then filtered and forwarded to our server admins.  I would also like to have a command like !comeplay that would invite via email anyone that wanted to be on the list.  I think i could figure out how to do it but I dont want to mess up the plugin.  Is there an easy way that is perhaps built in that can handle that?

well you can try that Contact plugin version 1.5

I did this quickly not had time to test   :(

you can change the message sent. by changing this line

Code: [Select]
message= 'Hi ' + self.recipient + '\r\n\n ' + self.sender + ' invite you to come and play on' + server + '\r\n\n'

do not hesitate to report the problems

sorry for my english

I got 1.5 version installed and have been testing it.  When I use the !comeplay command, it sends an email out for everyone listed in the DB, however, they all come to my main email address.  The email is addressed to the each recipient though.

So for example, I have two email addresses listed.  one for player x and one for player y.  the emails both come to my gmail address but say "Hi player x" and the other says "Hi player y" and those players never receive the email.

Hope that helps with fixing this problem.  Thank you.

Thank you for your efforts however the !comeplay command is still sending all emails to the main GMAIL account.  I only copied the py file over as the rest of the files looked the same.  Please advise.

Did you set up the gmail account or other mail account settings?  Command won't go through unless that part is configured.
