Any chance of being able to specify a variable to set how fast it spams to console?  In BF3 the rules scroll so fast its impossible to read all but the last 3-4.  Would be nice if we could set a delay between each rule.

Secondly, can we have an option for admins to be able to spam the rules list to everyone, rather than just a PM.  The scenario we have is that we sometimes need to remind people of our rules and typing !rules in CoD7 we just get a PM instead of the rules being sent to the global console.

If there are ways to achieve the above with the standard program, my apologies if I've missed reading about those features.

The second one - try @rules instead of !rules...

The @ will send global - for every command.

Also you can do !rules name to send to specific player..

this does not apply to all command and unfortunately not to the rule command.

you can make the delay between messages (all messages not only the rules) bigger by either editing the file parsers/frostbite2/abstractParser.py as follow :

search for :
Code:
'message_delay': .8,
replace with :
Code:
'message_delay': 2.5,
this will make the delay 2.5 seconds instead of the default 0.8 seconds.

or use the latest code from my github repository : https://github.com/courgette/big-brother-bot/zipball/master
which has a new option for the b3.xml file called 'message_delay' as you can see in the example : https://raw.github.com/courgette/big-brother-bot/master/b3/conf/templates/b3.bf3.tpl

Really? I never knew that.
I think in the default adv.xml it has it... so I would assume it works.

I stand corrected.

I haven't checked the code but I remember as if  @rules work  Huh

But anyways, there's a better method not to spam the chatbox. !rules <player> or !r <player> will pm rules to the player.
