Code:
1:23 K;guid1;0;;[dB]Ryanb213;guid2;-1;;[dB]Ryanb213;none;100000;MOD_SUICIDE;none
  1:25 K;guid2;1;;dafuzkr;guid1;0;;[dB]Ryanb213;frag_grenade_mp;290;MOD_SUICIDE;none

Basically if these two events happen with 10 seconds (MOD_SUICIDE) and (frag_grenade_mp)
a user is warned for "Nadeswitch detected"

A nadeswitch is when a user throws a grenade at teamates, then switches teams and gets kills for them. When a user switches teams, it shows in the log as "MOD_SUICIDE", if they have a suicide within X seconds of a grenade kill, they are warned.

Should be simple enough. An example of the log is given above.

[dB]Ryanb213 in this example should be warned, dafuzkr is the victim and nothing is supposed to happen to him.

I support this idea.
I would run this in a heartbeat.

What about a TK by overcooking a grenade?

Server we run, team-kill is turned off. Therefor, impossible to kill your team... unless you switch teams..

Besides, the plugin would look for a MOD_SUICIDE - if found, then a kill within 4 (but over 1) seconds with a grenade would trigger it (grenade is 4 seconds i think). Overcooking should be instant kill...

Should be similar logic to aimbot plugin.

Will have to check the logs and see what a nade kill via overcooking looks like, if different will be happy to chuck it on our COD4 and Black Ops server.

The question is, are these switch team lines are unique. i.e. does any other suicide event log look exactly as a team switch log line?

If there's a unique pattern for team switch in CoD Series, then we can introduce a new B3 event in CoD parsers and then it's easy to make this plugin. Otherwise, other suicide events will be interpreted as team change and this leads to false reactions of your plugin.

Another problem is that not all CoD games have same log patterns so you have to check this in every CoD game.

Well the above peice of log is for COD4.

I don't think there is a distinction between suicides. This is a suicide, not a death. There should be no reason/other possible way that you commit suicide with X seconds of a grenade kill.

Like i just stated, this isn't just any death. This is a suicide. Therefore it should be relatively safe to use. Especially if its just issuing warnings until a kick/ban.

Maybe not everyone thinks that this is a priority, especially since the COD series has survived for so many years without it....
