I'd like a plugin that kicks anyone that has a ^ color in their name for MW2 (should work in COD 4 and 5 I'd imagine.

Can anyone make this?

If you can find a way of getting clients names with the colours still in it. I can just make a few changes to my CoD Colour Warn plugin to make what you want.

Actually, could this be extended to any non-standard ascii character as well? It seems some people lately have been using non-standard ascii characters ( etc) and B3 can't seem to kick because you have to type in the exact user name to kick or ban (Why is that?)

The B3 log already seems to detect the color codes. For example:

Quote
110318 10:03:30   DEBUG   fedemodern^7 found in status/playerList
110318 07:34:18   VERBOSE   connectClient() = {'11': {'slot': '11', 'last': '0', 'name': '^2M^4r^1X^7'

!list them, or just type enough characters that are unique... You don't need the full name..

That doesn't always work. I !permbanned someone with color codes in their name and after I did, they disappeared from the list and they could not be kicked. Entering a partial name resulted in a message that no one was found with that name.

Kick them before permabanning. The aiw code doesn't kick when you ban if I remember correctly...

Here's an example of a player with non-standard characters and how it can be a problem.

You'll notice his name in the player list and when he chats look different from each other.

When I posted this, I thought the reason I couldn't kick the player in question was because of color codes or non-standard ascii. I've now learned that a typo in the cod6.py was preventing the !perbanned player from being kicked after the !permban command was issued and not their name, so this isn't as much of a priority now. Just gotta wait and see if we get a fix for the cod6.py in the 1.5.2b version.

But if I use client.exactName or client.name B3 has already striped the colours from there name. I need to find a non striped version of there name to run though the code.
