I just pulled the latest from the download section this morning and found a typo:

101218 20:08:20 INFO    STDOUT Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/b3/b3/conf/extplugins/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat'

but this should be /b3/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat according to your instructions
 or at least  /b3/extplugins/conf/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat

If your still working on this, Could you just make a entry in the xml file that allows the user you specify where the GeoIP.dat file is.
Like in my case I already have GeoIP.dat installed for xlr web stats, and it doesn't make sense to have more then one copy on the server.

Sorry, current geowelcome version doesn't make use of a local database. I think you are using another plugin.

Hi sgt,

thx for your plugin. I have a question to the greeting-lines. Where can i set, that these lines comes in the lower left side?
All B3 lines on our servers write the messages in the lower left side.. Only your geowelcome Plugin give the messages in the upper left side...
Where can i change these settings? Found nothing in the .xml / .py .

If you want the broadcast message to appear at the bottom, edit geowelcome.py

replace:
Code: [Select]
self.console.write(self.getMessage('broadcast', info))

with:
Code: [Select]
self.console.say(self.getMessage('broadcast', info))

Regards.

PD: be very careful to not break the indentation.

Depending on your location and your Internet provider, the city will be an estimated location.

Talking about privacy, I'm glad nobody can tell for sure from what city I am just by studying my IP address

Did you add it to your main b3.xml file?

This is the line I use for our Black Ops servers:

<plugin config="@b3/extplugins/conf/geowelcome.xml" name="geowelcome"/>

When you restart the Bot does it show in the logs that the geowelcome plugin has loaded?

Really? You know exactly what is wrong with the geoip plugin. You are using the windows distro which won't work.

Your refusal to read the documentation, accept the answers given to you, do some research with Google, and stick to one topic is causing everyone to not want to help you.
Help will be given to those with a b3.log

If drop off the map it is due to RL becoming busy :)

Which type of b3 install are you using?  The plugin won't work with the Windows exe standalone version.
