I don't know whether it's of interest for you, but beginning with the v1.5.2 beta you can prefix text for sprint with [skipnotify] in order for the client not to be notified about the new chat. The client can still read the text when opening the ingame console.

There is no chatbeep with sprint anyways. The text just does not show up as new. It's a little hard to explain, just try yourself (with console closed).

I unzipped wop_1.5.2_beta_patch.zip into our 1.5.1 install folder but I still see weird cid in log lines

No, this is expected behaviour. I said "fixed in the next release", which is v1.5.3 or something like that. After all you're still using the same 'old' files as before, aren't you?

Just for your pleasure, I took the latest code and packed it here. Copy this into ~/.padman/wop/ to virtually override v1.5.2.
