(I place this here because poweradmin has the cvar's for the bots)
where is B3 calling for the bots? , I looked around in all the .py files but nothing popped out.  (not that I can read the code too well)

I set up a skeetshoot_2010 practice server, all works well for headshots and what not, but if a player leaves, it places a bot on the blue team  :-[

I can't set bot_minplayers  too low or it would defeat the purpose of skeet shoot. If I use my bot.cfg file then it defeats the purpose of tracking head shots.
I have bot_minplayer set to 12 which is how many slots the server is and this gives me 3 B3/URT bots to kill , but when I go to spec it added another bot, when I rejoin it kicks a bot on the red team. not the one that just joined the blue team. so when I come back to spec I must !force botname r

what im after is 4 to 6 bots that stay on the red team.
If 1-3 humans then 4 bots 4-6 humans 6 bots  or just have X number of bots on red team at all times  ;D

I just need a push in the right direction since I probably am the only one looking to do this

This plugin only manages bot with the following rcon commands :
  • bot_enable
  • g_spskill
  • bot_minplayers

Maybe you should disable the team balancing ?

then which part of the bot dose the calling for the "addbot" future .
Just setting "/rcon bot_enable 1" "/rcon g_spskill 4" "/rcon bot_minplayer 12" will not get a URT/bot on the server in till the "addbot" command  has been triggered

there is no addbot anywhere in the code. That must be the server that decide to add bots

I have a question about map rotation.

Let's assume simple mapcycles:

SMALL
  • alpha
    beta
    gamma

MEDIUM
  • delta
    epsilon
    zeta

BBB starts with alpha. Some players join, so BBB decides to switch to medium mapcycle with next map. It does. It plays delta. But some players leave, and BBB decide to back to small.

Will he play next map (beta) or start small mapcycle from the beginning? Will BBB 'remember' the maps played already?

Hi,
    [For TeamDeathMatch]
The current team balancer moves players to ensure same number of players per team. But this does not take skill into account, and sometimes produces "unbalanced" teams. Also, there is no way to balance teams by skill (when, by luck all the noobs end up on one team and the elite on the other)

We wish to make "fair" teams. Fairness being determined by each team having the same cumulative kill:death ratio.

As a first attempt, we extended poweradminurt with two functions: minmove and skuffle.

Minmove is intended as a replacement for the current balancer, and tries to achieve fair teams with minimum number of player moves between teams.
Skuffle (skill-shuffle) produces fair teams by shuffling, and is intended as a replacement for pashuffle which restarts the game.

The code is available at https://github.com/tomyl/b3-plugin-poweradminurt

In the future, we propose the plugin use XLRstats where available instead of just current scores.

This is more of a proof of concept (and RFC) than production ready. Would you consider adding such functionality to poweradminurt?

thanks
and regards

Welcome guys :)

This is a nice addition the the plugin. We can see you really put efforts into understanding how B3 works and is designed.

Have you submitted a pull request through github ?

heh :) Thanks. We read through the (well-written) code first :)

We wanted to make sure we were on the right track before we submitted it back. Since you are okay with the idea, we would like to improve and polish it (with the XLR info) and submit then a pull request. We hope to have something ready over the weekend.

thanks
and best regards

Quick question:
<settings name="votedelay">
<!-- votedelay disables voting at roundstart in minutes, 0 disables function. -->
      <set name="votedelay">0</set>
   </settings>

On bomb mode - it will count minutes of the match, or just rounds? Because if I set 15 minutes delay - it will allow in 15th minute of CTF for Vote, but what about round modes?

Hi there,

Can someone explain the !pagear data sequence to me?

I used !gear none and that worked to remove everything but knife but if I try !gear - auto I get an invalid data error

What would I type to remove everything but snipe?

Dumb question I know but I just can't figger it out

got it.... I was putting a space between the + and snipe that was causing it to not work.

Does this gear set remain until I change it again or does it reset every map change?

changing maps should not alter your g_gear server cvar

I love this thing... it allows me to deny the no-skillz noobs from using the negev

Any way !pagear can be used to deny tac goggles as well?

the !pagear command is just a nice way to manage your g_gear cvar, so it is limited to the way the g_gear cvar work (see official UrT server doc )

If you want finer control over what weapon/item you want to allow on your server, then have a look at the following plugins:
