How to reset Echelon v2 password?
« on: April 15, 2013, 04:13:26 AM »
I'm using Echelon v2.  I didn't setup the mail feature in the beginning of the installation.

One of my users needs to reset their password but obviously Echelon v2 isn't sending an email.  I cannot find a way to either reset their password or set a new one for them.

Anyone know how?

Finally got the link to reset my password; took almost 24 hours though.

I asked the user to check their mail and I will let you guys know if they received it.

However, does anyone know how to manually reset the password for them rather than having to wait for the reset password email?

edit:
The user received the email a day later as well.  I would still like to know how to manually edit/set their passwords.

Been a while since I look at the settings page, is there not a pencil to edit the user and then change their PW?

Otherwise, you can edit it in the database.
Help will be given to those with a b3.log

If drop off the map it is due to RL becoming busy :)

There's a pencil there, but no option to change the user's password.

And how would I go about changing their password in the database?

I just logged in and checked - my bad.

Go into phpmyadmin. got to ech_users (where ech is your table prefix), edit the user password and replace with 0e7b5c266294d64204cf46072d3f19afafb212d730a07ac20 abe233f8b62fa9c
and the password for that user will now be:
pa55w0rd

On mine, the salt is oQVDACaNbjl2
