Is there an estimated date for the beta parse of Homefront?

it also depends of what additional features will be provided by Homefront next server update. The rcon protocol misses a few commands in order for B3 to function in the way you would expect.

I see 4 important missing features:
  • the ability to send private messages to players
  • the ability to request the guid of a player (at any time)
  • no command to obtain the list of available maps
  • no command to obtain the current map rotation list


Less important missing features are :
  • no means to get players IP addresses
  • no means to get players pings
  • cannot detect headshots (or distinguish body parts) for kills

we could release an early beta, but with these missing features, B3 would not be working fully and most importantly would spam the console (no private message)

    Honestly this game was no where near ready for release. I regret buying it. IMO the incompetence level of the developers, is just staggering. These things should have been worked out long ago, and could have been had there been a proper open beta.

    At any rate, I will keep checking back. Sad that it will take B3 to save this game. The hackers are just out of control.

    If you need any more help testing B3, please let me know.

    Any news on this? I see some homefront stuff in the bleeding repo, but nothing on if it works.

    Looking forward to the beta release. Was on one of your guys test homefront server with xlrstats got me a little excited to see it working. :)

    I can second that. Steam is updating right now.

    If drop off the map it is due to RL becoming busy :)

    seems like they improved also things about the chat. I used the first time the chat today after 50 hours playing. Chat stays much longer.

    I hope they give us a way to write to these big welcome messages via rcon :)

    my repo, xlr8or's and Freelander's repos are almost daily synchronized during the development stage for HF support.

    Check the last commit date to see which one seems most up to date.
    We should have the next beta before monday. Stay tuned :)
