I was using screen to send to background before I switched to Openpanel.

First install screen:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install screen

Then you can use it to run B3 so that when you close putty, your screen will continue to run:
Code: [Select]
screen -d -m python /home/hc/b3_run.py -c /home/hc/b3/conf/b3.xml

cu :)

Just to add on if you do "screen -dmS nameofscreen" you will be able to easily access the screen by doing "screen -x nameofscreen" which will bring up the bot where you restart it and such. When you connect to the screen you just issue the start command and then hit CTRL a+d to leave the screen without killing the process.
