i've installed the plugin and, looking in the log file, it seems to run correctly. but when i tested it no messages appeared.

do you have any suggestions?

1) you got a lot of RCON errors
  • Is the bot responding to other commands ?
  • In your main config, check rcon_ip and rcon_password values.
    Sometime changing the ip to 127.0.0.1 makes things better; if not, try the public ip instead.

2) DEBUG   No attacker
  • Tells me the guy who did the headshot was connected to the game before the bot was started.
  • After a bot restart, all players must reconnect to be recognized by the bot (in game console, type /reconnect)

heashotsurt - log parsing

hello.
i have a problem with this plugin not keeping track of headshots,
i'm no python programmer but looking at the code, it looks for HT_HEAD or HT_HELMET in UT log file.
the problem is that, while it logs weapons in the form of UT_MOD_WEAPON it doesn't log hit locations as HL_LOCATION.
instead it uses Helmet for HL_HELMET and Head for HL_HEAD.

is this correct?
i mean, do i have to tweak headshotsurt.py to match the log or am i missing something?

This plugin is for ioUrban Terror only (in case your trying to make this work for an other game)

have you set the following line in your game config ?

this is not quite true as the plugin is using the 4 numbers that are after 'Hit:' and is not taking care of the text that is after.

maybe you are not using B3 v1.1.3 ? (see http://www.bigbrotherbot.com/forums/index.php?topic=353.0)

you are VERY right!
i installed b3 as python egg and it turned out to be version 1.1.2
i installed in source mode and know headshot are counted.

by the way, how can i make it a bigtext message instead of a small server message?

cod4 port: no as I have no COD4 server. And I'm spending too much time with Urban Terror at the momment :)
But this plugin could be taken as a working base for a cod4 port

The plugin will only record the headshot, if it kill the enemy... is there a way to record every headshot?
