PBBans (cod4)
« on: June 25, 2012, 05:03:11 PM »
As some of you might know PBBans no longer writes bans to your servers pbbans.dat when it enforces a kick.

What this plugin does is finds the last modified pb log and reads it for:
[06.25.2012 13:52:51] Kick Command Issued (PBBansHub: Enforced MBi Ban  [Admin Decision]) for (slot#3) 188.*.*.44:28960 12345678912345678912345678912345 PROkrouSthS

If it find this it adds the user to your b3 database and adds the ban to your pbbans.dat

My b3 bot will not start when I put <plugin name="pbbans" config="@b3/extplugins/conf/plugin_pbbans.xml"/> into b3.xml.

Snippet: -
Code: [Select]

  File "C:\UserFiles\b3bot\skinstrikecrash\extplugins\pbbans.py", line 5, in <module>
ImportError: No module named fileinput

I have no idea what is going on with it.

Everything else works fine expect this plugin

Looks like there is an external module needed.
Are you running a source install or windows?

I am running windows version.

Could it be because I am not using the most up-to-date b3?

I think you need to run the source install to run 3rd party plugins.

Most likely (like spoon said) because it doesn't have this lib.
Geowelcome is another plugin that has this issue for the same reason.

Any plugin should work with a windows install, PROVIDED it doesn't need a python module that is not part of the standard windows compiled version. This applies to anything that is in an 'import' statement (usually near the top of the plugin's .py file) that is not part of the base B3 source or is not compiled as part of the .exe file

It looks like this plugin needs fileinput, so it will not work with the windows install but will need either the egg or source code install.

^^ I thought that was what I was saying... anyways, you made it much clearer then I did...

You did indeed Mordy, I was adding to what you said by trying to explain why some plugins do work, whilst others don't, since someone had said that no 3rd party plugins work.
