[Quick FAQ] Ravaged Info

B3 supports Ravaged from version 1.9.0dev10. Until we release B3 1.9 beta and 1.9 stable version, you are advised to use the very latest dev release.

1) How can I run B3 for Ravaged ?
A: The first B3 release to include Ravaged support is B3 1.9.0dev10. Make sure to use the latest available B3 1.9.0dev version.

2) Where can I download these files?
A: B3 1.9.0 dev packages are available at http://bit.ly/MXP7JF

3) Any special plugins for Ravaged ?
A: The VacBan plugin (http://forum.bigbrotherbot.net/plugins-by-courgette/vac-ban-plugin/) now also supports ravaged

4) Any stock plugins work for Ravaged ?
A: Most stock plugins should work. Help me build this list guys!

5) Where can I find the b3.xml for Ravaged ?
A: There is a template in the templates folder. Use the B3 setup and you should be able to select it. Or use the online generator (http://config.bigbrotherbot.net/form.php?parser=ravaged)

6) I'm new to BigBrotherBot, what to do to quickly try it ?
If you just want to try it, follow this quick howto guide (http://bit.ly/Tyx2jZ) that should get you up and running under minutes.

Let me know if there is anything you think should be added, or if you think this topic should not exist, etc. All feedback is welcome.

v1.9.0dev12 released

This version fixes an issue that prevented B3 from detecting kills, hence making the stats, xlrstast, tk or any plugin relating on such events helpless.

Hi mates,

Glad to see you will support Ravaged, but i have a question : which version of the game did you tried ?
I mean, there won't be linux dedicated server files, so did you tried on windows machine only or did you tried also with a server running on linux with wine ?

I m really interested by your feedbacks.

Greets.

Sorry if i m off topic.

And can you test with a linux OS with wine ? To be sure it will works also with. ;D
If no, it doesn't matter, i will wait until server files release.  :)

dev13 has only changes for Urban Terror 4.2
How is it going so far ?

Could you give a look at your b3.log file from time to time, searching for ERROR or WARNING messages ?

B3 no longer starts for me, unsure what changed given all the previous versions worked fine?

Code: [Select]
'Attempting to connect to database mysql://ravaged:******@localhost/ravaged...'
121115 17:05:08 CRITICAL "this is MySQLdb version (1, 2, 3, 'final', 0), but _mysql is version (1, 2, 4, 'beta', 4). You need to install python-mysqldb. Look for 'dependencies' in B3 documentation."

BTW I have been just downloading the new zips and overwriting files, is there anything else I need to do?
